The Fireflies® Curriculum by FunShine Express

We are proud to implement the FunShine Express curriculum, specifically the Fireflies® program, a nationally recognized, theme-driven approach that puts play at the heart of learning. This dynamic play-based preschool program is built around monthly themes that captivate young minds, from “Community Helpers” to “Amazing Animals.”

Each day is filled with engaging, hands-on activities that feel like play, but are thoughtfully designed to teach critical skills. Through storytelling, music, art projects, and sensory bins, our Fireflies curriculum ensures that learning is an adventure, making every day at Small Steps Preschool exciting and meaningful.

I am super impressed with the staff at Small Steps. I wish they were open when I had kids in school. Seriously considering sending my grandkids there when they’re a little older. The reason I’m so impressed is that I’ve had some opportunities to work on the building that they use. And I’ve been able to see how the staff and leadership interact with the kids. It’s so clear to me how much they care; they show patience and kindness to these kids. It’s a great place.
